The initial thoughts, ideas have been finalised for the new 2013 card range.
I'll be sketching and designing collages for most of the cards.
For those who follow the blog you will know collage is a medium I love,
I'm trying to wait a while before I start as other projects need to be finished.
A birthday trip to London tomorrow.

Market day 19th May
This was on our table when we arrived.
Customers
I think I was a little optimistic in the stock I took up and didn't need all the props,
but apart from that everything worked out well.
Julian helped me on the day and between us we managed to pack everything in one large and one small suitcase and one large bag. My favourite fold up chair came along too and I'm so glad we decided to take it, as I was shattered towards the end of the day.
Thank you to friends who came to visit and of course all the customers.
I'll be returning on the 21st July.

Our House
Five layers of wallpaper had to be removed
I leave the week with the sun shining into my new white studio.
I haven't moved in yet as I still have to sort through lots of paper etc. I'm trying to streamline the business so I can move in and still see lots of floor space.
Have a sun-filled weekend.

Collage postcard collaboration
I'm off to London tomorrow, meeting up with Stella to finish off the postcards we have been working on.
So far we've produced the work and sent it back and forth by email, so I'm looking foward to being more hands on.
There is still a way to go before they are ready for the shop shelves, but the artwork should be finished.

beauty in the making
Yesterday I met up with Jon, a fellow greeting card publisher in London.
We went round a GF Smith paper exhibition called 'beauty in the making' being held in Victoria House basement in Bloomsbury.
The event was about celebrating 'the making' as an art form, in this case it was about paper.
A good day.
To see flickr photos from the event click here.
Have a fun weekend.

Royal de Luxe

Today Julian returns from New Zealand, then tomorrow we're travelling to Liverpool for a long weekend. The main reason for the visit is to see The Royal de Luxe, a street theatre company who travel the globe. The company work with these magnificant giant figures above to tell a three day story.
"The Voyage Of The Sea" is a new story they will be telling in Liverpool about Giants that will celebrate the centenary of the sinking of the ill-fated Titanic.
It looks so magical.
Have a good weekend.
